Looking at the pictures I am loading for this blog makes me really excited to write it. We have had so much fun these last few months. We have gone to see Grandma Hurst and got some good pictures with her. We sure enjoy getting to spend some time with her.
Valentines was a lot of fun we made sugar cookies and frosted them for each other.
Addi just liked the frosting.
The girls are growing up so fast and Addison is such a character. She talks on her "cell phone" all day long whether it's a remote or her hand she will talk and laugh all day but once you give her the real thing with someone on the other line you can't get her to say a word. She does wave and give kisses through the speaker though. She thinks its so much fun that she helps Macy do it too.
Oh boy does Addi love food. I feel like even after I have fed her a whole meal I can get her down from the table and she will start begging me for more food. If she can reach the food she will just help herself which has been a lot lately. Any way she can get it though she will take it.
Addison and Macy have basically died and gone to heaven with this beautiful weather. We go outside at least once a day and play with bubbles or chalk, or ride our bikes or play with whatever odds and ends Addi can find.
We blessed Macy about a month ago now. It was such a fun day to get the girls all dressed up and then have lunch with our family afterwards. Before everyone came I would have said it was going to be a failure of a day because nothing was going right but everything turned out really nice but even if it hadn't it would have been a great day just because we got to spend time with family and bless our baby girl.
We have been so blessed with these two beautiful girls and they make me the happiest mommy in the world. I love my little family so much.

Again it has been a long time since I have blogged. My excuse? I was busy... okay it is a terrible excuse but we will pretend like it is a good one. We had some wonderful holidays but Christmas was just so fun this year. I started listening to Christmas music early and making gifts and our stockings kept me very busy in December. I don't think Addison got what all was going on Christmas day but she enjoyed the new toys.
I was worried we were not going to have a white Christmas but Christmas eve it turned into a storm and we got snow. The wind blew it into huge drifts so we thought it would be fun to go play in the snow and show Addison what it is all about.
to be honest I don't think she was that impressed. She was also not a huge fan of the cat.
Christmas was great but I am pretty sure the best thing that happened since the last blog was, the baby came!!!! and its a GIRL!!! Macy Utahna Hurst was born January 30, 2015 and if you remember from the last blog that was way past my due date, I wasn't very happy with her for a while there but I forgot all about it when she decided to come. She weighed 10 pounds 6 oz. which makes her the heavy weight champion on both sides of the family. Addison loves her most of the time, we had to teach her how to show affection the first day though, she kept hitting her and tried to rock her but not so gently. She has become much better and showing her love though.
They are such cute sisters and I am so grateful for my little family. They sure know how to wear me out but they are worth every minute.
The box was also just as fun.

It has been a few months since the last post so a lot has happened in our lives. We love living in a house and it has kept us very busy between regular maintenance and doing fun upgrades. Addison loves helping daddy with all the fun tools and watching him when I won't let her go outside with him.
We are expecting our second child January 24. We are not going to find out what the gender is and I am so excited however it is causing some problems in being prepared. For example if its a boy well he is going to have to wear girl clothes for a while. Also we have to pick out a name for both genders and so far we are not having any luck agreeing on a boys name good thing we still have two and a half months.
Addison has grown so much. She is starting to do some walking and has so much personality. Her favorite game is peek-a-boo even when no one is watching she will throw her blanket over her head.
She is into everything. I will leave drawers open for her in the kitchen while I cook. The other day she literally wanted to play in the pots and pan drawer.
A few weeks later Addi found herself stuck in the cabinet where we had taken out the drawers to fancy them up. She was not to happy about it. And after I had gotten the camera out I helped her out, she got herself stuck pretty good.
She is always up for a fun adventure and will do just about anything to find one.
In September we went to the aquarium with Doug's family. We had a really good time. Addi didn't care about most of it but every once in a while a fish would grab her attention. They have a lot of fun little places for kids to play and get a little more personal with the fish. Addi only did a few because it was packed but we made sure she did a few things like going in the fish bowl in reverse.
We also had the family Halloween party. We had so much fun playing all the games and the food was amazing. We dressed up as a nursery rhyme. Addison was the cat with the fiddle, I was the cow and my belly was the moon that the cow jumped over, and Doug was the dish and the spoon. We had a lot of fun being creative.
Then for Halloween we had a ward party so we decided that Addi needed to dress up again and since we had a dog costume as well we decided to switch it up. She was a pretty cute puppy.
And of course I can't forget Addison's first birthday. She didn't really get all the attention but we had a fun time doing fun things for her. Because kids always seem to like the box more then the toy inside of it, we decided to wrap a large box for her and let her unwrap it all day. She didn't do much with it unless I was there and showing her what to do but she did get most of it unwrapped by the end of the day.
Then both sets of grandparents and Jamie and Jeremy came over for dinner, cake and ice cream and presents. She was so cute unwrapping her presents, my favorite is when she unwrapped her doll she figured out what it was and was too excited to get the rest of the paper off, she just kept pulling on the arm.
She has had lots of cake and ice cream in her days so she knew what to do but that does not mean she skipped the mess.
We are so grateful for her in our lives and for the joy she brings us. It has been such a fun year with her and I have loved watching her grow. I wish she would slow down but that's not the way it works so I guess I will hold on to her the best I can.
And because the picture is funny here is Addison with Bigfoot.
