Two posts in one day, look at me go. I wanted to do another one basically of pictures because I like looking at my pictures in blog form so here we go.

Playing outside while it is still nice and picking my flowers to put in there hair, and to make bouquets.

Eating ice cream cones with forks... silly girls.

Potty training prizes. Those wings haven't lasted long but her excitement over them was awesome and so worth the potty training drama.

They decided to help me decorate. I love that they think kitchen utensils are decorations.
She tells me she is a cowboy almost everyday, and anything she can dream up to be a horse will work as long as its not a real one too close.

This was the horribly massive spider that was crawling on our tent one night. That is a quarter underneath it. Needless to say I felt spiders all over me for a long time. YUCK!

We have been wanting to go to the zoo as a family since last year when we went and because of side jobs and wanting to be with family and other things that have kept us busy we finally decided that we would take this weekend and go even if we had to put some things off. We are so glad we did. The weather was perfect, we were the perfect temperature and the animals must have liked it too because a lot of them were really active. We decided to try the Boise Zoo because it was closer and cheaper. It was a good size and had some really cool animals so it is safe to say we will be visiting again. Anyway enough of my blabbering the pictures are the fun part and the real reason I blog.

I probably took 10 of these pictures and I did not get a single one of them being cute at the same time. O well.

They had all of there statues dressed up in costumes and as we were leaving they blew up all their inflatable Halloween yard ornaments. Addison saw Winnie the Pooh dressed as Dracula and thought it was pretty great. When she was telling my mom about it she told her Winnie the Pooh was a dragon.
I wanted a picture next to the snow leopard because he was so close to us and when we waved our hands in front of the glass he would hiss at us and he even swatted his massive paw at Addison. It was pretty cool and scary at the same time, the glass wasn't very thick.

So this is basically a horrible picture but I had to put it on because it was a moment we might never see again. Yes Doug had to force Macy's hand out there to feed the goat but she didn't absolutely freak out. Addison fed the goats too but I was a little late pulling out the camera to document that one and couldn't convince her to do it again so you will just have to take my word for it.
This is Addison's favorite picture because, well.... she is a turtle.
Big ears are supposed to help you hear better so I tried it out and Doug thought it was pretty funny.

The girls thought I was cool though and wanted to do it too.
We were saying hello into the other end of the ears so of course Macy had to do her cute little hello from the other end.

We had so much fun spending all that time as a family and seeing the animals. I am so glad we took the time to go. We are so blessed and I am glad that we are able to take the time to slow down and do enjoyable things just because we can. I am so grateful for our girls and the smiles they always put on our faces and I am grateful for Doug and his willingness to put other things aside because he knows that I need stuff like this to unwind. He is always trying to make us happy and I am so grateful for that.

What a summer! I was sick for most of it and would drag myself around the best I could so I wouldn't get cabin fever and so the girls would have fun. I did a pretty good job considering.

The girls did get creative in finding their own entertainment though.

We did a ton of swimming, sometimes we would get creative with that too just because we could. We also got to go to Jensen's Grove a couple times with my family and Doug and I took the girls to a couple different swimming pools this year because they actually liked the deep water and had so much fun.

We also got to go to the zoo in Idaho Falls with my sister and mom. My girls are afraid of animals but I thought that with the glass between them we would be totally fine. HA I should have known better. They did like it but they still had to keep their distance in some places.

Then came the fair. We went to the parade on Monday and the first horses we were pulling carriages and Macy just about lost it. Then we saw horses that had riders and I don't know if she got used to them or if it made her feel better that they had riders but she started to like them. Then we went to the rodeo the next day and she started jumping up and down when she saw the first horsey she was so excited. Addison spent most of the rodeo with aunts and uncles so we were told that she really liked it and was paying attention to the whole thing. Again it was a distance thing because the next day we took them to see the animals and Macy didn't like when we got her out of her stroller but sat there cowing in fear and Addison wouldn't let Doug put her down. Oh well guess we keep trying to teach them that animals are nice, it makes it kind of hard though when mom is almost as afraid as they are though, I am conquering my fear for them though. I think their favorite part of that night was the four wheelers and tractors though we had to peel them off when it was time to go and they weren't even moving.

We have had a pretty great summer and watching these girls grow up  has been so fun. They are learning so much each day. Here are a few more pictures just for your enjoyment.
