It has been a few months since the last post so a lot has happened in our lives. We love living in a house and it has kept us very busy between regular maintenance and doing fun upgrades. Addison loves helping daddy with all the fun tools and watching him when I won't let her go outside with him.

We are expecting our second child January 24. We are not going to find out what the gender is and I am so excited however it is causing some problems in being prepared. For example if its a boy well he is going to have to wear girl clothes for a while. Also we have to pick out a name for both genders and so far we are not having any luck agreeing on a boys name good thing we still have two and a half months.
Addison has grown so much. She is starting to do some walking and has so much personality. Her favorite game is peek-a-boo even when no one is watching she will throw her blanket over her head.

She is into everything. I will leave drawers open for her in the kitchen while I cook. The other day she literally wanted to play in the pots and pan drawer.

A few weeks later Addi found herself stuck in the cabinet where we had taken out the drawers to fancy them up. She was not to happy about it. And after I had gotten the camera out I helped her out, she got herself stuck pretty good.
She is always up for a fun adventure and will do just about anything to find one.

In September we went to the aquarium with Doug's family. We had a really good time. Addi didn't care about most of it but every once in a while a fish would grab her attention. They have a lot of fun little places for kids to play and get a little more personal with the fish. Addi only did a few because it was packed but we made sure she did a few things like going in the fish bowl in reverse.

We also had the family Halloween party. We had so much fun playing all the games and the food was amazing. We dressed up as a nursery rhyme. Addison was the cat with the fiddle, I was the cow and my belly was the moon that the cow jumped over, and Doug was the dish and the spoon. We had a lot of fun being creative.
Then for Halloween we had a ward party so we decided that Addi needed to dress up again and since we had a dog costume as well we decided to switch it up. She was a pretty cute puppy.

And of course I can't forget Addison's first birthday. She didn't really get all the attention but we had a fun time doing fun things for her. Because kids always seem to like the box more then the toy inside of it, we decided to wrap a large box for her and let her unwrap it all day. She didn't do much with it unless I was there and showing her what to do but she did get most of it unwrapped by the end of the day.

Then both sets of grandparents and Jamie and Jeremy came over for dinner, cake and ice cream and presents. She was so cute unwrapping her presents, my favorite is when she unwrapped her doll she figured out what it was and was too excited to get the rest of the paper off, she just kept pulling on the arm.

She has had lots of cake and ice cream in her days so she knew what to do but that does not mean she skipped the mess.

We are so grateful for her in our lives and for the joy she brings us. It has been such a fun year with her and I have loved watching her grow. I wish she would slow down but that's not the way it works so I guess I will hold on to her the best I can.
And because the picture is funny here is Addison with Bigfoot.

We have been loving our new house. We can do yard work all the time and Addison loves being outside so it has been perfect. All the room we have is also fantastic. Addison is growing so fast, I can hardly stand it, she is learning so much right now and as always gets into everything. She goes on all sorts of adventures. The other day I just watched her crawl up on her rocking horse and stand on the seat.
She was pretty proud of herself. She loves that rocking horse though.
She has also become my vacuum cleaner. Doug was just telling me the other day that when she likes something on her plate she will purposefully drop some so that she can eat it later. I probably should vacuum more but if I tried to keep up with her mess I would be vacuuming all day long.

The other day I put Addison in the back of Doug's truck. She loved it back there, I don't think I have ever seen her stay in one place where there was hardly anything to do but she liked standing against the side.
Eventually she found some of dad's tools. She is definitely going to be daddy's little helper some day.
Of course I don't think any of our lives would be complete if Doug didn't try to bug her every once in a while. He has fun with it, I think it makes for great pictures and she thinks its fun...

most of the time, this time she was able to crawl out so she thought it was pretty great.
We love our little family and enjoy being able to spend time together.

Oh Boy! Addison has learned how to crawl and we have made the move to our new house. It has been a very fun month. When Addison was learning to crawl she ended up in some pretty interesting places.

She also learned to pull herself up. She has a little toy that is the favorite help, although sometimes it rolls away from her and she gets into some interesting situations.

During the move dad had some fun putting her in things and seeing how long she would stay there before she got mad. Some she liked because it also came with a ride,

others it didn't take long for her to decide she wasn't having fun.

We also started her on a bottle. She does really well with and, well, it makes for some cute pictures.

She has always liked when dad feeds her because he lets her play while she eats.
As usual we love to visit family and take pictures with them.
We love to visit Great Grandma Hurst, surprisingly she is one of the few people she will let hold her without crying.
When my niece walked in the other day I saw she was wearing the same glasses that I had just bought Addi so of course we had to take a picture. Addison doesn't keep the glasses on yet but Maylie thought it was pretty cool they had the same glasses.
We wore the poor baby out on the fourth of July and this is how we found her sleeping.
The poor baby was so tired we could move her and turn on the lights and it did not bother her at all which is usually impossible. We sure had fun watching fire works though and she did really well.

After we had gotten all settled in to the new house Jordan and Pyper came to visit us. When they first walked in Addison would follow Pyper wherever she went. They played so good together all day it was so cute. The next day Addison started crawling on her hands and feet in the kitchen just like Pyper had. We loved having them over for the day.

What a month! Addison is learning so much so fast these days. I know I say that every time I blog but it's crazy to me how fast the times fly. With the weather warming up we have started to do small walks and eating outside and fun stuff like that. Last weekend we had Crystal take us down to pillar falls in Twin Falls. It was so pretty and so fun, okay the hike was not fun but being down in the canyon was very fun. I packed my camera down and so I demanded that we take some pictures, now I know what your thinking, really Kelsey you packed the camera down? but yes for a girl who doesn't get much physical activity and all of a sudden had to hike down a canyon wall, yes I did PACK a camera down. We got some great family pictures so it was well worth the extra pound.

Addison wasn't very thrilled with us when we stuck her feet in the water, maybe it had something to do with how cold the water was, weird I know.
Addi hates the sun in her eyes so we decided we should buy her some sun glasses to see if it would help her. They don't stay on long enough for her to find out but that's okay because some day she will keep them on and if not we got some totally cute pictures of her shades.
Crystal and Doug built a fire and we roasted marshmallows after the hike and of course dad had to give Addi some, and as all kids are with marshmallows, she was a mess and got it everywhere. Needless to say it was sugar so she loved it.
We also got to see cousins the weekend before that. Addison was so excited that she was finally the big one and could grab baby Lincoln. She might as well enjoy it while she can because I don't think she will be bigger for too much longer.

Mothers day was also fantastic. Doug helped Addi make me a finger painting while I was getting ready for the day. He would dip her hands in the paint and let her go to town on the paper. Addison loves paper and loves to crinkle it so she must have known she was leaving marks on the paper because it survived with only minor crinkles on the corners. It made my whole day to see it and how well she had painted herself and the kitchen as well. It is her first artwork hung on the fridge.

As we were taking these pictures Grandma and Grandpa Hurst were talking about how on the blog Addi was always eating something at their house so keeping to tradition... Addison loves ice cream sandwiches that grandma gave her for dessert.

Sometimes I will take a billion pictures of her because I think she is doing something crazy so I pull out my camera and so she decides not to do it any more so I just start snapping because well the camera is out and she is cute so why not. I always get some of the cutest pictures though because she is so happy and will just smile because I smile. She is such a happy baby and she makes my days amazing.
